After months of rumours swindling the mill, news of Kanye West heading to our African shores spread like wildfire on Friday 21 September when Castle Lite confirmed their involvement as the brand bringing one of hip-hop’s most prolific artists to town.
On Tuesday 25th September, 500 tickets were released via campaign ambassadors Sizwe Dhlomo, Loyiso Gola, Pearl Thusi and Gareth Cliff to be purchased on social media platforms namely Twitter. Within 15 minutes all tickets were sold out. With an edge of developing innovative structures and models to push their campaigns in an out-of-the-box fashion, Castle Lite started a new trend, again. Making an in-house design available to the public, tickets were purchased on Twitter through a free service called “Tweet To Buy”; a social commerce model created by Castle Lite. If you wanted to purchase the tickets all you had to do was tweet. That’s pretty cool.
